New Central Wastewater Treatment Plant

The New Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, located in the Songino Khairkhan District of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is an ambitious project aimed at improving the city's wastewater management. Officially launched in February 2019, the plant is set to cover 17.7 hectares and will consist of 35 buildings. Once operational, it will have the capacity to process 250,000 cubic meters of wastewater daily, addressing significant environmental concerns. The project, financed by a $262.7 million loan from the Government of China, represents a crucial step towards sustainable urban infrastructure in Mongolia.
