Villa Alexandria is a historic former plantation house located in the San Marco neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida, built in the 1870s by Alexander and Martha Mitchell. Nestled on 140 acres along the St. Johns River, the estate was renowned for its hospitality and beautiful gardens, which included a variety of fruit trees and exotic plants. The grounds featured broad piazzas, summer-houses, and a pier, creating a picturesque setting for visitors. In the 1920s, the gardens became part of a residential property known as 'The Arbors.'
