Joseph Blakeslee House

The Joseph Blakeslee House, built in 1780 in Wallingford, Connecticut, was a notable example of late 18th-century Cape style architecture. This historic house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998 but unfortunately collapsed and was demolished in 2008. Originally constructed by Joseph Blakeslee, a veteran of the French and Indian War, the house reflects the early American colonial lifestyle and has a rich history tied to the Blakeslee family until the early 20th century. Although it is no longer standing, the site remains a point of interest for those exploring Connecticut's historical heritage.
