West View (Zanesville, Ohio)

West View is a historic house in Zanesville, Ohio, built in 1890 by prominent physician Richard Bonifield. As one of the first residences in its neighborhood, it showcases Queen Anne architecture with Eastlake influences, featuring a stone foundation, slate roof, and an ornately decorated front porch. The interior remains largely unchanged since its construction, boasting original gold-colored oak wood paneling, artistic tiling, and five mantelpieces. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, West View is a significant example of late 19th-century architecture and a key landmark in the area.
