Javier Alzamora Valdez Building

The Javier Alzamora Valdez Building, located in the historic center of Lima, Peru, is an architectural landmark that serves as the main location of the Superior Court of Justice of Lima. Constructed between 1952 and 1954, it originally housed the Ministry of Education and was notable for being the first headquarters of Channel 7. Designed by architect Enrique Seoane Ros, the building features a unique blend of classicist and modern styles, with a striking convex shape and a height of 87.50 meters, making it one of the tallest public buildings in Peru for many years. Its façade is adorned with innovative ceramic and glass materials, and the interior showcases murals inspired by the Chimú culture. The building has historical significance and has undergone renovations and repairs due to natural events, including an earthquake in 2007.
