Gas Works Park (Wallingford/Lake Union landmark)

Gas Works Park occupies the site of the former Seattle Gas Light Company plant and preserves portions of the industrial gasification structures within a public park. Designed by landscape architect Richard Haag, the park opened in 1975 and is noted for its adaptive reuse of machinery as sculptural park elements. It is a long-standing community and citywide gathering place on the north shore of Lake Union.
