Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (formerly the Paramount Theatre)

Opened in 1928 as the Paramount Theatre, the building at 1037 SW Broadway was restored and renamed the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in the 1980s. The hall is a primary performance home for the Oregon Symphony and regularly hosts touring orchestras, touring artists, and local productions, making it a central site in Portland's 20th- and 21st-century music history. Its Spanish-Moorish interior and marquee are historic features noted in accounts of Portland's cultural venues.
