Railway Administration Building, Kuala Lumpur

The Railway Administration Building, completed in 1917, is a striking example of Indo-Saracenic architecture located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Originally designed by Arthur Benison Hubback as the headquarters for the Federated Malay States Railways, it now serves as the headquarters for Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad. The building features a unique octagonal cantilever staircase and was the tallest structure in the Federated Malay States at the time of its completion. Despite suffering damage during World War II and a fire in 1968, it remains a significant historical landmark, situated near the old Kuala Lumpur railway station.
