Monument Circle – Outdoor broadcast hub during major events

Monument Circle (Soldiers and Sailors Monument) in downtown Indianapolis has been used repeatedly as a live outdoor broadcast location by national television networks. During the week of Super Bowl XLVI in February 2012, national networks set up broadcast stages on Monument Circle for pregame coverage tied to nearby Lucas Oil Stadium. The circle continues to serve as a common site for live news shots and event coverage during civic celebrations and festivals.
