Ford's Theatre (site of Lincoln's assassination)

Ford's Theatre is the historic Washington theatre where President Abraham Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865; Lincoln died the following morning in the Petersen House across the street. The site now includes the working theatre and the Ford's Theatre Museum, which interprets the assassination and the 19th-century theatre.
