Hitsville U.S.A. (Motown Museum)

The house at 2648 West Grand Boulevard served as the headquarters and primary recording studio for Motown Records from 1959 into the 1960s, and Berry Gordy Jr. nicknamed it 'Hitsville U.S.A.' Studio A in the building was the site where many early Motown hits were recorded by artists such as The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder. The building is preserved and operated as the Motown Museum, open to the public for tours.
