Klyde Warren Park - deck park built over a freeway

Klyde Warren Park is a 5.2-acre public park constructed on a deck over the recessed Woodall Rodgers Freeway, linking downtown Dallas and Uptown. Opened in 2012, it is an uncommon example of an urban green space built directly atop an active freeway right-of-way. The park created a continuous surface-level landscape where the freeway trench had previously separated neighborhoods, producing a distinctive engineered landform in the city.
