Livestock Exchange Building (center of meat trade)

The Livestock Exchange Building, completed in 1902 in the Fort Worth Stockyards, served as the administrative center for cattle auctions, livestock brokers, and related businesses for much of the 20th century. It concentrated offices, meeting rooms, and services that supported Fort Worth's growth as a major meatpacking and cattle-trading hub. The building's role helped cement Fort Worth's identity as a national livestock center and influenced the local food and meat industries.
