Egelund House

Egelund House, located 35 km north of Copenhagen, is a former royal residence built between 1915 and 1917 by Queen Dowager Louise. Nestled near Lake Esrom, it showcases the architectural work of Carl Harild and beautifully landscaped gardens by Edvard Glæsel. After Queen Louise's death in 1926, the estate changed hands within the Danish royal family until it was purchased in 1954 by Dansk Arbejdsgiverforening, which now uses it as a congress and training center. This historical site offers a glimpse into Denmark's royal heritage and is an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
