McKenstry Manor

McKenstry Manor, also known as the Kellogg House, is a historic house located in northern Bethel, Vermont, built around 1800. This well-preserved example of Federal period architecture showcases a design inspired by Asher Benjamin's published works. The house features a striking entrance with sidelight windows and a Palladian window above, set on a 385-acre property that was originally associated with it. The oldest part of the house dates back to 1783, built by local figure Alvan McKenstry. Visitors can appreciate the historical significance and architectural details of this landmark, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
