Castleboro House

Castleboro House is a fascinating ruined Georgian mansion located in Clonroche, County Wexford, Ireland. Originally constructed in 1770 by Robert Shapland Carew, the house was designed by architect Daniel Robertson. Its history is marked by tragedy, including a devastating fire in 1840 that destroyed most of the structure, followed by a rebuild in 1858. However, the house met its final fate in 1923 when it was set ablaze by local IRA supporters.
