Make Way for Ducklings sculptures (Public Garden)

The bronze sculptures of Mrs. Mallard and her ducklings by Nancy Schön were installed in Boston Public Garden in 1987 and commemorate Robert McCloskey's 1941 children's book Make Way for Ducklings. The statues have become a beloved public artwork and a frequent subject of photographs by visitors and school groups. The figures sit on a small island in the garden's lagoon and are accessible to park visitors year-round.
