Luxor's atrium - once the world's largest by volume

The Luxor Hotel's pyramid contains an enormous interior atrium that was widely reported as the largest atrium in the world by volume when the property opened. The pyramid form creates a vast sloped interior space that spans multiple stories and is a defining architectural feature of the resort. Some later buildings have claimed larger atrium volumes, so the designation has been subject to subsequent comparison.
