Editors Building

The Editors Building, also known as the Kiplinger Building, is a historic ten-story structure in Washington, D.C., originally built as the headquarters for the Kiplinger Washington Editors in 1950. Designed in the Stripped Classical style by architect Leon Chatelain Jr., it features a striking limestone façade and a unique interior that once showcased a vast collection of D.C. memorabilia. After serving as an office building for over six decades, it was transformed into a Hampton Inn hotel in 2013, preserving its exterior while modernizing the interior. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in D.C.'s architectural and cultural history.
