Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site

The Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site occupies the narrow brick rowhouse where Poe lived from 1838 to 1844. The National Park Service operates the house as a museum preserving domestic rooms, period furnishings, and exhibits about Poe's life and writings. The site is located in Old City and interprets the author's Philadelphia years through guided and self-guided visits.
