San Francisco Armory (former National Guard armory)

The San Francisco Armory was built in the early 20th century as a National Guard armory and is notable for its large brick drill hall and fortress-like exterior. After the Guard vacated the site, the building stood unused for long stretches and was the subject of multiple redevelopment proposals. In later years it has been repurposed intermittently and used as a filming location and private-event space.
