Luxor pyramid and its large interior atrium

The Luxor Las Vegas, which opened in 1993, is built as a glass-sided pyramid and includes a vast interior atrium often cited as one of the largest enclosed atrium spaces in the world. The resort's architecture and interior volume were distinctive on opening and remain a defining element of the south Strip skyline. The Luxor also features the prominent vertical Luxor Sky Beam produced from the pyramid apex. The complex combines hotel rooms, casino space and entertainment venues within the pyramid structure.
