Sheriff Mill Complex

The Sheriff Mill Complex, located near Easley in Pickens County, South Carolina, is a historic site featuring a grist mill, main house, miller's house, millpond, and dam, all dating from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. The grist mill, constructed in 1881, operated until 1955 and showcases traditional milling architecture. The main house, built around 1898-1899, is a two-story I-house with distinctive design elements. This complex was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in American industrial history.
