Oklahoma State Capitol (completed 1917)

The Oklahoma State Capitol, completed in 1917, was built after statehood to house the state's legislative and executive offices. The limestone building at this site has functioned as the central seat of Oklahoma state government since its completion. The Capitol grounds include numerous monuments and have been the focus of later additions and renovations to accommodate growing governmental needs. The building remains a primary example of early 20th-century civic infrastructure in Oklahoma City.
