Blue Mustang ("Blucifer")

Luis Jiménez's 'Blue Mustang' is a painted fiberglass and resin sculpture installed at Denver International Airport. The artist was fatally injured in 2006 when a section of the sculpture fell on him during its production; the completed piece was installed at the airport in 2008. The 32-foot-tall work is notable for its bright blue color and illuminated red eyes, and it has provoked public debate over its appearance and the circumstances of the artist's death. It is commonly referred to by the unofficial nickname 'Blucifer.'
