San Francisco City Hall (Beaux-Arts Dome)
By Seeker
San Francisco City Hall was completed in 1915 following the 1906 earthquake and is a prominent example of Beaux-Arts civic architecture. Its monumental dome, rising to approximately 307 feet, is one of the largest masonry domes in the United States. The building's grand staircases, ornate interiors, and classical symmetry reflect the City Beautiful movement of the early 20th century. City Hall has been the site of many historic civic events and remains an active seat of municipal government.
