St. Brigid's School and Convent

St. Brigid's School and Convent is a historic site located in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. Built in 1961, this three-story L-shaped structure showcases mid-century International style architecture, designed by Edward H. Glidden, Jr. The building features a distinctive aluminum and brick exterior, with a prominent two-story entrance and a classroom wing characterized by bands of windows. Although it was closed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 1980, it was recognized for its architectural significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in historic architecture.
