Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens - Ima Hogg’s River Oaks estate

Bayou Bend was the River Oaks residence of philanthropist Ima Hogg and was designed by Houston architect John F. Staub. The house and surrounding gardens were assembled to display an extensive collection of American decorative arts and period rooms. The property was donated to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and operates as a house museum preserving early 20th-century domestic architecture and formal garden design. It is noted locally for its architectural significance within the River Oaks neighborhood.
