Kintner-McGrain House

The Kintner-McGrain House, also known as Cedar Glade, is a historic residence located north of downtown Corydon, Indiana, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1808 by Jacob Kintner and his wife Agnes, it is notable for being the second-oldest building in Harrison County. The house features an L-shaped, Late Federal/Early Republic Style brick design and was the first in Corydon to have a water works system, showcasing early innovation. The property has a rich history, including being a refuge during John Hunt Morgan's raid in 1863 and serving as a working farm until 1946. It has been owned by three families over the years and offers a glimpse into early American life and architecture.
