The York Dispensary, established in 1788, is a historic building located in the heart of York, England. Initially providing free medical treatment to the poor, it evolved through several locations before settling in a purpose-built structure on Duncombe Place in 1899. Designed by architect Edmund Kirby, the building features striking red brick construction, intricate terracotta details, and a distinctive weathervane. After closing in 1948, it transitioned into a health service center and was designated a Grade II listed building in 1975.
