Alum Rock Park-historic municipal park with mineral springs and trails

Alum Rock Park was established in 1872 and is frequently cited as one of California's oldest municipal parks. Located in the foothills east of downtown San Jose, the park features hiking trails, mineral springs, and notable rock formations along Penitencia Creek. It remains an active natural and recreational landmark managed by the City of San Jose.
