Fernández Anchorena Palace

The Fernández Anchorena Palace, located in the elegant Recoleta district of Buenos Aires, is a stunning example of Second Empire architecture, designed by French Argentine architect Eduardo Le Monnier in 1907. Although it was never inhabited by its original owners, Juan Antonio Fernández and Rosa de Anchorena, the mansion has a rich history, serving as the official residence for President Marcelo Torcuato de Alvear in the 1920s. In 1947, it was donated to the Holy See and now functions as the Apostolic Nunciature in Argentina. Visitors can appreciate its architectural significance and historical importance in Argentine society.
