Crosstown Concourse (former Sears, Roebuck & Co. building)

Crosstown Concourse is a redeveloped 1927 Sears, Roebuck & Co. distribution center that reopened as a mixed-use 'vertical urban village' in 2017. The building houses residential units, artists' studios, nonprofit offices, performance spaces, restaurants, and community services, and is home to Crosstown Arts. The adaptive reuse project is a prominent example of large-scale historic preservation and creative placemaking in Memphis.
