Chris Moneymaker's 2003 WSOP Main Event victory at Binion's

Chris Moneymaker, an amateur who qualified via an online satellite, won the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event at Binion's Horseshoe in downtown Las Vegas. His victory on November 9, 2003, is widely credited with helping to spur a rapid increase in poker participation and the online poker boom of the mid-2000s.
