Dr. Moses Mason House

The Dr. Moses Mason House, located in Bethel, Maine, is a historic house museum built around 1813-15. It served as the home of Dr. Moses Mason, an early local physician and the first postmaster of Bethel. The house features unique murals created by itinerant artist Rufus Porter, depicting scenic harbor and woodland views. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, the house is a fine example of Federal period architecture, with its white clapboard exterior and elegant entrance.
