O'Neill Building

The O'Neill Building, located in Manhattan's Flatiron District, is a historic landmark that was originally Hugh O'Neill's Dry Goods Store. Designed in the neo-Grec style by Mortimer C. Merritt, it was constructed in stages between 1887 and 1890, with a fifth floor added in 1895. The building features distinctive gilded corner domes and has undergone various transformations, including a conversion to condominiums in 2005. It is part of the Ladies' Mile Historic District, recognized for its architectural significance and historical importance in New York City's retail history.
