Imagine mosaic (Strawberry Fields)

The Imagine mosaic is a black-and-white marble inlay installed in 1985 within the Strawberry Fields memorial in Central Park as a tribute to John Lennon; the mosaic was a gift from the city of Naples and was installed with the cooperation of Yoko Ono. The memorial area is designated as a "Garden of Peace" and is a focal point for annual commemorations on December 8 and other visitor gatherings. The mosaic is located near West 72nd Street on the park's west side and is maintained by the Central Park Conservancy.
