Whitfield House

Whitfield House, located on Fiennes Street in Toodyay, Western Australia, is a historic building completed in 1863 for John Acton Wroth. Initially a four-room cottage, it served as a private school from 1871 under Mrs. G. Whitfield. The house was later expanded by Augustus Frederick Lee Steere, who bequeathed it to the Anglican Church in 1903. Today, it features brick and iron construction with colonial-style elements, including a front verandah with timber posts. A commemorative plaque highlights its renovation in 1949, showcasing the house's rich history and architectural significance.
