Antone's Nightclub, Austin's 'Home of the Blues'

Antone's Nightclub was founded by Clifford Antone in 1975 at this location and became a central venue for electric blues in Austin. The club hosted nationally known blues and rock artists and helped launch careers of local musicians. Antone's historically maintained a residency and touring circuit that contributed to Austin's reputation as a live-music city.
