Glen Alpine, Toowoomba

Glen Alpine is a heritage-listed villa located in Toowoomba, Queensland, designed by architect Harry Marks and built around 1918. This two-storey timber residence showcases a blend of historical architecture and scenic views of the Brisbane Valley and Table Top Mountain. Originally constructed for bootmaker Albert Rowbotham, it later served as a holiday home for Chief Justice Neal Macrossan. The villa features distinctive elements such as gabled roofs, verandahs, and a historic swimming pool, one of the first in Toowoomba. Listed on the Queensland Heritage Register since 1993, Glen Alpine represents the evolution of Toowoomba as a prestigious residential area and is a testament to the region's architectural heritage.
