William Wright Faison House

The William Wright Faison House, also known as Friendship Plantation, is a historic plantation house located near Bowdens in Duplin County, North Carolina. Built around 1852, this two-story Greek Revival style dwelling features a striking tall portico supported by four paneled posts, added circa 1848. The property also includes a one-story school building dating back to approximately 1830. Once the center of a vast 3,500-acre plantation owned by William Wright Faison before the Civil War, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
