Michigan Central Station (Beaux-Arts rail terminal)

Michigan Central Station was completed in 1913 and designed by the firms Warren & Wetmore and Reed & Stem in a Beaux-Arts/Renaissance Revival style. Its 14-story office tower and monumental waiting room made it a major early-20th-century rail terminal for the Michigan Central Railroad. The terminal closed to passenger service in 1988 and was purchased by Ford Motor Company in 2018; restoration efforts have been underway to rehabilitate the landmark.
