The Ridge (Derwood, Maryland)

The Ridge is a historic house in Derwood, Maryland, showcasing a blend of architectural styles including Georgian, Federal, and Greek Revival. Built with Flemish bond brick on a fieldstone foundation, this 1.5-story home also features an 18th-century two-story log building on its grounds. Once the residence of Zadok Magruder and his family until 1956, The Ridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, making it a noteworthy site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
