Frank Erwin Center arena

Opened in 1977 and named for Frank C. Erwin Jr., the Frank Erwin Center served as the University of Texas at Austin's primary indoor arena for basketball, commencements, and large concerts for decades. The venue had a seating capacity of roughly 16,000 and hosted numerous national touring acts as well as university events. It remained in service until the University of Texas opened the Moody Center in 2022.
