Ball Nurses' Sunken Garden and Convalescent Park

Ball Nurses' Sunken Garden and Convalescent Park is a historic park located at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Designed by Percival Gallagher between 1929 and 1934, this therapeutic greenspace was created for convalescence care and features the only remaining public garden designed by the Olmsted Brothers in the city. The park includes a central pool with a sculpture named Eve, donated in 1947, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. Visitors can enjoy the serene landscape that reflects masterful landscape architecture and serves as a unique urban oasis.
