Texas Memorial Museum Cretaceous collections

The Texas Memorial Museum on the University of Texas at Austin campus houses extensive fossil specimens from Central Texas, including Cretaceous marine material collected from the Austin Chalk and nearby limestone exposures. Exhibits have included large Cretaceous fish (Xiphactinus) mounts and mosasaur material derived from local outcrops. The museum has long served as a repository for UT field collections and research on Austin-area fossil beds.
