Maman (giant spider) outside Brooklyn Museum

Louise Bourgeois's Maman is a 30-foot-tall bronze and stainless-steel spider sculpture installed on the grounds of the Brooklyn Museum in 2008. The arachnid sculpture is one of several large-scale editions and has been a prominent, unusual landmark at the museum's entrance since its installation. The work was commissioned for the museum's expansion and remains a frequently photographed public artwork.
