Hotel San Carlos

The Hotel San Carlos opened in 1928 and was constructed in a Spanish Colonial Revival style, becoming one of Phoenix's earliest large luxury hotels. Built with steel framing and concrete, it rose to eight stories, which was notable for Phoenix at the time. The hotel continues to operate and is a well-known historic building on Central Avenue in downtown Phoenix.
