Braves Field turned Nickerson Field

Braves Field opened in 1915 as the home of the National League's Boston Braves and remained the team's home through the 1952 season. Much of the ballpark site was later incorporated into Boston University's campus and is now Nickerson Field; surviving elements of Braves Field, including portions of the outfield wall and the old ticket office, remain on the site. The location documents the transition from a major league ballpark to university athletic facilities.
