Bellevue-Stratford Hotel (The Bellevue)

The Bellevue-Stratford Hotel opened in 1904, designed by G. W. & W. D. Hewitt as a grand Beaux-Arts hotel on Broad Street. In 1976 the hotel was the site of the Legionnaires' disease outbreak that led to identification of Legionella pneumophila. After decades of change and restoration, the historic building now operates as The Bellevue Hotel and contains retail and event spaces while retaining much of its original architecture.
